Indian actor Yash is one of the foremost names in Kannada cinema. Having begun his career in 2004, Yash has gone on to star in numerous films, earning him widespread praise for his performances from critics and audiences alike.
Yash’s first acting appearance came in the ETV Kannada TV show ‘Nanda Gokula’. He continued to appear in TV, having roles in ‘Malebillu’ and ‘Preeti Illada Mele’, with his film debut coming in Priya Hassan’s 2007 film ‘Jambhada Hudugi’. His next role, in ‘Moggina Manasu’, went on to earn him the Filmfare Awards South award for Best Supporting Actor.
The Award win set Yash up for leading roles in ‘Rocky’, ‘Kallara Santhe’ and ‘Gokula’. The acting performances continued, with commercial success in ‘Modalasala’ and critical success in 2011’s ‘Rajadhani’.
Yash again found himself amongst accolades, winning two more Filmfare Awards South, this time as Best Actor, for his roles in 2013’s ‘Drama’ and ‘Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari’ two years later, with the latter grossing more than $7.8 million, becoming Kannada cinema’s second-highest grossing film of all time.
