Nivin Pauly is a multi-award-winning Indian actor who has become famous for his work in Malayalam cinema. Despite only starting his career in 2010, Pauly has become one of the most popular and decorated actors of his generation.
Pauly’s debut came in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s ‘Malarvaadi Arts Club’ which went on to earn him roles in ‘The Metro’, ‘Sevenes’ and ‘Traffic’. It wasn’t until he starred in ‘Thattathin Marayathu’ in 2012 which saw him become a hit with critics and the Malayalam audience. His performance earnt him the Asianet Film Award for Best Star Pair, alongside Isha Talwar, and the Rising Star of South Indian Cinema (Male) at the South Indian International Movie Awards.
The award wins set him up for a lead role in ‘Neram’, for which he became the recipient of his first Filmfare Awards South, winning it for Best Debut, and winning his second, Best Star Pair Award at the Asianet Film Awards.
The accolades kept coming for Pauly in 2014, with him earning two Filmfare Awards South for Best Actor and Critics Award for Best Actor for his role in ‘1983’. He also earnt the same award at the Kerala State Film Awards, the South Indian International Movie awards and the Asianet Film Awards, earning him a successful clean sweep.
Along with further recognition for his work in ‘Bangalore Days’ and ‘Premam’, Pauly had established himself as one of the most talented and in-demand names in Malayalam cinema.
