British singer-songwriter Jessie Ware has become one of the most recognizable voices on the pop and dance scene. Having burst onto the scene in 2012, she has released two highly successful albums and has performed all around the world.
Having followed a career in music, Ware found herself working and touring with Jack Peñate, which was when she honed her skills and learnt from the successful musician. She was introduced to SBTRKT through Peñate, and began to work with the rising producer.
Ware released her debut album, ‘Devotion’, in August 2012. The album was well received, peaking at Number 5 in the UK and charting around the world, going Platinum in Poland and Gold in the UK. The album, which included charting singles ‘If You’re Never Gonna Move’, and ‘Night Light’ also included ‘Wildest Moments’, which raised Ware’s profile considerably. The album earnt Ware two MOBO Award nominations and a nomination for Mercury Music Prize Album of the Year.
Ware’s success continued with her second album, ‘Tough Love’ which came out in October 2014. The album again entered the Top Ten in the UK, and charted in the US at Number 50, as well as Australia, Ireland and more. Ware’s profile was again raised through the singles ‘Tough Love’ and ‘Say You Love Me’ which peaked at Number 22.
