Frankie Boyle

Frankie Boyle

British stand-up comedian Frankie Boyle is arguably one of the most popular and in-demand acts on the UK comedy scene today. Despite his blue comedy style which has seen him involved in frequent controversy, Boyle has been featured on many of the top comedy shows in the UK as well as being the lead act in four highly-praised comedy specials.

Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, Boyle began performing at Edinburgh’s The Stand Comedy Club. In 2005, Boyle joined ‘Mock the Week’, where he was a crowd-favourite panel member, holding the position until 2009 and amassing 65 episodes as a panel member.

The comic was also a regular on shows such as ‘8 out of 10 Cats’, ‘Argumental’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’, but has also seen his stand-up featured on ‘Live at the Apollo’. Alongside his TV appearances, Boyle released three DVDs of his shows including a performance at the Hammersmith Apollo and his show ‘The Last Days of Sodom’ at Glasgow’s King’s Theatre.

Following his stint on Mock the Week, Boyle hosted ‘Tramadol Nights’ in 2010. Following controversy from the show, Boyle’s television appearances reduced, but he has since been praised for his more recent live shows, which include the Netflix exclusive ‘Hurt Like You’ve Never Been Loved’.
