Showhawk Duo

British guitar duo Showhawk are one of the fastest rising acts in the experimental and original dance music scene. Whilst fellow artists in the genre play through electronic instruments and DJ decks, Showhawk have earnt a name for themselves through their unique approach to the genre, playing with guitars to create an original and entertaining show.

Formed by Mikhail Asanovic and Jake Wright, Showhawk have performed globally as a duo and have garnered an impressive fan base throughout their career. Mikhail, a classically trained guitarist and Jake, an electronic fan who has experience playing in rock bands, came together to create a performance that takes the energy of electronic music and combines it with the classical feel of acoustic instruments.

Having performed at the famous Edinburgh Fringe festival, alongside Joe Simmons and Lorraine Chase, the duo, whose backgrounds cover everything from jazz to rock, have gone on to put out two successful and critically acclaimed albums.

Showhawk’s debut album, ‘Take 2’, released in 2014, saw them tackle well known hits such as ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and ‘Hit the Road Jack’. They followed this with ‘Adm’, which came out in 2015 and featured a range of covers and mashups from artists such as Daft Punk, Clean Bandit and Tiësto.

The duo has performed all around the world, including shows in the Seychelles, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands and a residency at Pacha, Ibiza. They have also been on the bill at festivals such as Electric Picnic, Bournemouth 7’s and Glastonbury.
