Biography & Career:
Tony Robbins is an American author, entrepreneur and motivational speaker whose seminars have reached millions of people across more than four decades. Raised in Southern California, the future coach left home at 17, started out promoting events for the speaker Jim Rohn and went on to build a self-improvement empire from scratch. Well past sixty, Robbins still leads marathon sessions that can stretch beyond twelve hours, and age seems to matter little once the crowd is on its feet.
Many fans and clients call Robbins the best life coach of a generation. Bill Clinton, Hugh Jackman and Pitbull have all worked with the author one on one, while executives such as Marc Benioff and Peter Guber have hired the speaker as a business coach. The investment portfolio is just as broad, with stakes in Los Angeles Football Club, the esports organisation Team Liquid and a resort in Fiji.
Robbins has written a string of bestselling books on emotional mastery, personal finance and health. Readers often name the 1991 guide to taking control of mind, body and money as the best book of Tony Robbins, while later finance titles won over a new audience of investors. Screen work adds another layer: the list of movies featuring the coach includes a memorable cameo in a 2001 Farrelly brothers comedy and a Netflix documentary filmed at a seminar in Florida.
Live events remain the heart of the brand. Among the upcoming events, flagship programmes such as Unleash the Power Within and Date With Destiny continue to run in the United States and Europe, both in person and online. Off stage, family plays a central role. Robbins and wife Sage married in 2001 and live in Florida. The family includes five kids: Jairek, now a coach and speaker too, three children adopted during an earlier marriage, and a daughter born in 2021.
