Earl Sweatshirt

 American rapper and producer Earl Sweatshirt is one of the top artists of his generation, having collaborated with many of his genre’s top acts he’s topped charts with his music and performed at shows around the world.

Born in Los Angeles, Sweatshirt, born Thebe Kgositsile, started rapping in 9th grade, the artist attributes much of his success to Tyler, The Creator, who found him in 2009. Sweatshirt joined Tyler’s rap group and his debut mixtape, Earl, was released in 2010. Sweatshirt released his debut album Doris in 2013 on Columbia Records. The album featured artists such as Tyler, The Creator, Pharrell Williams and Frank Ocean and debuted on the US Billboard Chart at number 5, topping the R&B and Rap charts in the process.

Following on from the success of Doris, Sweatshirt emulated his success with his second album ‘I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside’, in 2015. The album was critically acclaimed by numerous sources such as XXL, Pitchfork and Exclaim! and reached as high as third position in the US Rap chart.

Sweatshirt has also released numerous singles and mixtapes and plans have also been announced to release his third studio album in 2017.
