Lacrimas Profundere

German goth metal band Lacrimas Profundere, in their 2-decade long career, have established themselves as one of the leading acts in their genre. From early beginnings, heavily influenced by doom metal, they have become renowned for this style and reached a more mainstream goth metal audience, making them the well-known band they are today.

Their debut studio album ‘…And the Wings Embraced Us’ was originally released in 1995 and was well received. The band followed this first album with ‘La Naissance D’Un Rêve’ in 1997. The success of Lacrimas Profundere’s first two albums lead to a deal with Napalm Records, seeing the band release 5 albums on the respected imprint.

After ‘Memorandum’, their third album, Lacrimas Profundere gained their first international coverage with 2001’s ‘Burning: A Wish’. The album combined some classical elements and resulted in an international tour across Europe and Latin America.

Lacrimas Profundere continued to release studio albums with 2002 seeing the release of ‘Fall, I Will Follow’ and ‘Ave End’ in 2004 and 2006’s ‘Again It’s Over’. The following album, ‘Filthy Notes for Frozen Hearts’ received a larger audience through its airplay on the hit TV show Bam’s Unholy Union. Despite personnel changes, the band continued releasing albums with ‘Acousticadore'.
