Biography & Career:
Diana Karazon is one of the defining voices of Arabic pop from the television talent era, and more than two decades on she is still one of the biggest live draws in Jordan. Born in Kuwait City on 30 October 1983 and raised in Amman, the artist grew up inside music: her father was a guitarist and a member of the Jordanian artists syndicate, and she was performing patriotic school songs by the time she was six. She is the eldest of four, with a sister named Zain, another named Haya, and a brother, Daoud.

The breakthrough came in 2003, when Diana Karazon won the first season of Superstar, the pan-Arab version of Pop Idol, and went on to represent the Arab world at World Idol later that year. A debut record followed almost immediately, and the momentum carried into a string of albums through the 2000s recorded across Lebanese, Egyptian, Khaliji, Iraqi and Jordanian dialects, an unusually wide range for a single artist. Awards accumulated too, including best female Arab singer honours in Egypt in 2006 and a best Jordanian singer prize in 2013.

Alongside the songs came television and screen work, with hosting duties on talk and entertainment programmes and acting roles in Arabic drama. Questions about her religion rarely feature in interviews, and the family background she does talk about is a mixed one, with Palestinian roots on the paternal side and Syrian Kurdish heritage through her mother.

Private life became public in the best way in 2020. Engagement to the Jordanian broadcaster Moath Al-Omari was announced in February, the wedding followed that September, and Diana Karazon and her husband now have two children, a daughter named Salma born in 2021 and a son named Rashid born in 2023. He has become a familiar presence on her social feeds, and rumours of a split have been publicly shrugged off more than once. Performing remains the core of it all: a live concert in Amman still fills the room, including a Valentine's show in the capital earlier in 2026, and at 42 the voice that won Superstar has only got heavier and more assured.
