Mahira Khan

Karachi has brought out many beautiful, talented and successful actresses, however none thus far as successful as Mahira Hafeez Khan. Having starred in many movies and TV shows, Khan’s most famous role is in fact her debut role, and as supporting actress no less, in 2011’s “Bol” opposite Pakistani pop-singing sensation Atif Aslam.

Khan went on to bag more TV and movie roles, however it was the hit TV serial “Humsafar” that catapulted her career as an actress to the next level. Her role in the show was critically acclaimed, as was the show itself. The TV and movie roles thereafter got her much recognition in the form of awards and praise. More roles came pouring in, including one from across the border in 2016 where Bollywood approached her for a lead role opposite Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

While the movie had release issues due to political tension between the 2 countries, Mahira Khan was exceptionally well received once the move was finally out in the theatres.

While’s Khan’s beginnings was with television, it was as a VJ for MTV Pakistan and then on Aag TV, after which her career took a turn as the casting calls started.
