Ocean Colour Scene

British rock band Ocean Colour Scene have charted and performed around the world, since their formation in 1989.

Hailing from Birmingham, UK, the bands first single, ‘Sway’, was released in 1990, beginning the start of an illustrious time for the indie rock band. Despite setbacks, they supported Paul Weller for a number of shows on his 1993 tour, leading them to another support tour in 1995, this time for Oasis.

As Britpop was beginning to break through to a mainstream audience, Ocean Colour Scene’s second album, ‘Moseley Shoals’ was an instant hit, peaking in the second spot on the UK Albums Chart, containing the top ten hits ‘The Riverboat Song’, ‘The Day We Caught the Train’ and ‘You’ve Got It Bad’.

The had continued success with their third album, ‘Marchin’ Already’, which topped the UK Albums Chart and included ‘Hundred Mile High City’, ‘Travellers Tune’ and ‘Better Day’.

The band went on to have two more top ten albums, ‘One from the Modern’ and ‘Mechanical Wonder’ and releasing a total of ten albums to date.
