Culture Beat

German Eurodance group Culture Beat became an instantly recognisable act in the 1990s thanks to their 1993 hit ‘Mr. Vain’. Having released four studio albums, Culture Beat have had numerous songs enter European Top Ten charts and have seen them earn a place in dance music history.

Culture Beat’s second album, ‘Serenity’, was the major turning point for the group. The album, which was released in 1993, entered Top Ten charts across Europe and was certified Gold in many countries. The lead single, ‘Mr. Vain’, was a worldwide sensation, topping the charts in Germany and the UK as well as peaking at Number 17 in the USA, selling millions of copies in the process.

The group have also become known for their other successful hits in Germany and further afield with ‘Got to Get It’, ‘Anything’ and ‘Inside Out’ forming part of their decorated discography which has seen Culture Beat sell over 10 million records worldwide.
