James Hype spent his early career cutting his teeth amongst the club circuits in the North of England.

His high energy DJ sets and forward thinking production, fusing the urban music world with house and garage, propelled him to the attention of the major players in the music industry.

His debut single More Than Friends, signed to Warner Bros records, featuring the vocals of Kelli-Leigh hit #1 in the Spotify UK Viral chart within the first week.

Before chart success, James made his name producing remixes for international artists including OT Genesis and Clean Bandit. He is also a DJ ambassador for the equipment manufacturer Pioneer DJ featuring in their online videos
