Biography & Career:
Sebastian Ingrosso is a Swedish producer and DJ, one third of Swedish House Mafia, and one of the people most responsible for the sound that took Stockholm house music to stadiums. Music was in the house from the start - teenage years were spent in the studio of his father, choreographer Vito Ingrosso, working out how records are put together. Italian on one side, Swedish on the other, he grew up in Stockholm and met Steve Angello at the age of six, a friendship that eventually turned into a business. The first remix came out in 1999, and by 2003 there was a label of his own, Refune, which later signed a young Alesso.

The rise ran in parallel with the trio. Solo productions and collaborations with Axwell, Angello and David Guetta built a reputation through the late 2000s, and a debut in the DJ Mag Top 100 in 2009 arrived as the highest new entry that year. His own songs from that era still surface in sets: the 2012 single made with Alesso and Ryan Tedder went double platinum in Sweden, and the collaboration with Tommy Trash from the same year, later reworked with John Martin on vocals, charted across Europe. He also holds an odd piece of trivia - a Madison Square Garden performance where the drum-pad work was fast enough to make the story of breaking the sound barrier stick.

After the group split in 2013, the Swede spent four years touring as one half of a duo with Axwell, releasing an album in 2017 and headlining Tomorrowland along the way. The reunion at Ultra in 2018 pulled him back into the trio full time, and the solo work has continued in the background - most recently a 2025 remix built around Celine Dion vocals. Progressive house remains the foundation, though the writing has drifted towards bigger melodies and pop structures over the years. At an age in his early forties, the calendar is still built around festivals, Ibiza residencies and stadium runs, and tickets for the trio's headline nights rarely sit around long.

Family life stays largely off the record. He married the singer and songwriter Kinnda in 2011, and the couple have two daughters, Melina and Miranda; his wife has occasionally collaborated on vocals but keeps a low profile otherwise. Benjamin Ingrosso and Bianca Ingrosso, both well known in Sweden, are cousins - proof that one family can cover dance music, pop and reality television at the same time.
