Ajman Shortens Summer Work Hours to Support Family Wellbeing

Ajman is bringing back shorter government workdays for the summer as part of the UAE Year of the Family. The initiative aims to help employees in the public sector achieve a better work-life balance and spend more time with their families.

Dubai has also introduced reduced summer working hours for government employees.

Here’s the new schedule and dates:

Effective period: June 29 to August 28, 2026
Working hours reduced to seven hours. Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Friday: 7:30 AM to 12 PM

Government entities may offer flexible working arrangements as long as employees complete at least the official hours specified.
