Shakira is officially back in her FIFA World Cup era, and football fans already know what that means for summer playlists. The Colombian superstar just teased fans on Instagram with a brand-new anthem called Dai Dai. The track drops on May 14 ahead of the tournament and features Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
The teaser is already blowing up online. Since hitting social media, the publication has pulled in more than 2 million likes, and the catchy chant already feels impossible to get out of your head before the tournament even begins.
For a lot of people, Shakira’s music and the World Cup practically go hand in hand at this point.
Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) became one of football’s most recognizable songs during the 2010 FIFA World Cup and now has more than 4.5 billion views on YouTube. Can you believe it’s already been 16 years? Since then, the song has taken over parties, cafés, and basically every playlist on the planet.
Before the new anthem arrives, you can relive the magic all over again.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup begins on June 11 at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City and will end with the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19.
If you’re watching the tournament in the UAE, there are special World Cup zones in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, packed with giant screens, live match broadcasts, food, music, and crowds cheering for every goal.
