Indian disc jockey DJ Lloyd is one of the top names in India’s dance music business. With a career that spans over two decades, DJ Lloyd has performed all over the world and has established himself as one of the leading names in Bollywood music.
With a wide range of musical style, DJ Lloyd has performed mixes of trance, house, hip-hop and Bollywood music to thousands of fans across the globe. A two-time representative for India at the DMC World DJ Mixing Championship, DJ Lloyd made his mark by becoming the runner-up both in Paris in 1998 and New York the following year.
Along with numerous performances around India, DJ Lloyd’s career has seen him collaborate and perform alongside the likes of Paul van Dyk, Nick Warren and Judge Jules as well as with international artists A.R. Rahman, Britney Spears and Nicole Sherzinger.
DJ Lloyd became known for his TV work when he was included on ‘Amul Music Ka Maha Muqabla’ which aired on Star Plus. His career reached another height in 2011 when he was voted India’s Top Bollywood DJ in the MyFav poll, a feat that he recreated again the following year. More recently, DJ Lloyd has been part of the advisory panel for Percept Live’s Bollywood Dance Festival, BollyBoom as well as a weekly feature on BBC Asia, where he hosts a segment.
