Biography & Career:
Rahul Dua is an Indian stand up comedy star, actor, writer, and host who has become one of the most recognisable faces in the country's comedy scene. Born in Ludhiana, Punjab, he comes from an academically accomplished family — the father, the late Kirti Dua, was a professor at GADVASU, while the mother, Geeta Dua, is a teacher. The parents instilled a strong work ethic and a love of learning that shaped everything that followed. Rahul Dua younger brother Sidharth Dua completes the immediate siblings picture. The religion of Rahul Dua is Hindu, in keeping with his Punjabi background.

Before comedy, the career path ran through banking and media. After completing a B.Tech at Thapar University and scoring 99.4 percentile in the CAT entrance exam, he earned an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies in Delhi, worked at Citibank as an investment banker, and then served as Assistant Manager at Star TV. All along, he was testing material at open mic nights in Connaught Place, Delhi, until the stand up comedy stage called loud enough to answer full-time.

The breakthrough came in 2018 with Amazon Prime's tv shows competition Comicstaan, where he finished as first runner-up. His show Oh Hello! followed — selling over 25,000 tickets across 50+ cities in India, with 2 million people watching live across the tour. Named one of India's top 16 comedians in Netflix's Comedy Premium League, he has also hosted Shark Tank India Season 2 and served as cricket commentator during IPL 2021 on Hotstar. Upcoming events continue to sell out rapidly as the tour expands internationally.

The wife of Rahul Dua is Nidhi Tyagi, whom he got engaged to in October 2020 and later married.
