MK (Marc Kinchen)

American DJ and producer Marc Kinchen, better known as MK, is one of the hottest acts on the house music scene today. With a career that spans over 3 decades, he has established himself as one of the best producers, influencing many of today’s producers.

Having started DJing in 1989 in his home-city of Detroit, MK began producing remixes to play in his sets. He first earnt recognition for his 1991 single ‘Burning’ which went up to Number 7 on the US Dance Chart.

A year later, alongside a successful remix of Inner City’s ‘Follow Your Heart’ he released the single ‘Always’ featuring Alana. The single topped the US Dance Chart and even charted in the UK. MK repeated this success with his next single from the same debut album, Surrender, when he released ‘Love Changes’ which also topped the US Dance Chart.

As a result of the success of his debut album MK had become a highly-demanded act and saw himself receive invitations from across the US and Europe to perform in clubs and festivals.

MK has performed at many of dance music’s top clubs and festivals in his illustrious career and has become known more recently for his remixes from artists such as Celine Dion, Lana Del Rey and Enrique Iglesias. He has also frequently collaborated with American rapper Pitbull, producing two songs on his album ‘Planet Pit’ as well as the theme song for Men in Black 3.
