Biography & Career:
Jass Manak is one of the most recognisable voices in modern Punjabi music, a Punjabi singer who turned bedroom-made romantic tracks into arena-sized hits before he had even finished college. The real name behind the stage name is Jaspreet Singh Manak, and the professional journey started in 2017, when he was still a teenager. A year later everything shifted: one viral single made him a household name across Punjab and the diaspora, and born on 12 February 1999 in Jalandhar, Punjab, he is 27 - an age that still puts him among the younger stars of the industry despite almost a decade of releases.

Family shaped much of that drive. The father of the artist died when Jass was young, leaving a tight household of three. His mother, whose name has never been made public, held things together, and the singer has spoken openly about how close he is to his brother Gopi Manak, who survived a serious accident. On the subject of siblings, that brother is the only one ever confirmed, and the recurring claims about a sister have no reliable backing.

By nationality he is Indian, and by religion a Sikh, raised in a Jatt Sikh family in Punjab and influenced early on by classic Punjabi folk voices. Slim and standing around 5'8" (173 cm), he is as known for his hairstyles as for his hooks - the fringe and comb-over cuts get copied in Punjabi barbershops - but the look itself has stayed deliberately low-key since the first videos. Most of the songs are self-written, which is rare at this level of pop, and the writing leans on romance, small-town swagger and heartbreak rather than borrowed hooks. Many of the net worth figures circulating online come from unofficial trackers rather than the artist himself. After years with Geet MP3, he signed with Mass Appeal India in 2024 and has kept releasing steadily since.
