Biography & Career:
Team Liquid PH is the Filipino Mobile Legends arm of one of the largest esports brands in the world, and currently the benchmark for competitive play in the country. The MLBB side competes in MPL Philippines under the tag TLPH, with an academy squad in MDL, and it took its present shape in May 2024, when Team Liquid acquired STUN.GG, the group behind AURA Esports and ECHO Philippines. That lineage matters, because the trophy cabinet came with it.

Before the rebrand the roster played as AURA Philippines and then ECHO Philippines, the lineup that swept Blacklist International 4-0 to take the M4 World Championship in early 2023. Under the Liquid banner momentum only built: league wins in Seasons 15, 16 and 17 made this the first organisation ever to complete a three-peat in MPL Philippines, sealed with a 4-2 result against Team Falcons PH in May 2026. The Mid Season Cup title in 2025 completed the set of major MLBB honours.

Ownership sits abroad. The owner of the parent group is Team Liquid, a Dutch organisation whose controlling stake has been held by aXiomatic Gaming since 2016, with day-to-day direction under co-CEOs Victor Goossens and Steve Arhancet. Goossens is also the founder, having launched the original Team Liquid site in 2000 as a teenage StarCraft project. The Filipino squad was founded on 24 June 2020, competing first as AURA Philippines before taking the ECHO name in Season 8, while the badge on the jersey belongs to a brand more than two decades old. By age the roster is startlingly young even by MLBB standards: KarlTzy was born on 22 August 2004, Sanji on 3 October 2005 and captain Sanford on 24 June 2006 - Sanford was still 16 when he lifted the M4 trophy. The kit runs in dark blue and grey with the horse crest and partner marks including Xiaomi and Red Bull.

Season 18 began in August 2026 with the championship lineup kept intact. Among the members the core is captain and EXP laner Sanford, jungler KarlTzy, mid laner Sanji, roamer Jaypee and gold laner Teddy, with Daiki as substitute and Aeon as head coach. Individual and in-game awards have followed the same curve, with Finals and Regular Season MVP honours going to Sanford, Sanji, Oheb and KarlTzy across recent seasons. Support across Filipinas is enormous, with the fan base known as The Cavalry filling arenas for every playoff run, and the squad now rebuilding confidence after a group stage exit at MSC 2026 in Paris.
