Alexander Ptashenchuk

Ukranian comedian and actor Alexander Ptashenchuk is one of the Russian-speaking world’s top comedic talents having built a successful career as a KVN team member and through his shows across the world. Tired of working life, Ptashenchuk moved to Russia to study at the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts. It was during his studies that he found comedy.

Ptashenchuk joined a KVN team and entered the newly-formed nationwide competition. His team did reasonably well in the early stages of the competition and he began to prove himself as an accomplished and versatile comedian. He made the step up to the professional KVN league in 2009, joining Lyudmila Berezovskaya’s Déjà vu team. In the Déjà vu team Ptashenchuk enjoyed some success, reaching the final stages of the competition in 2010 and 2013. Ptashenchuk established himself as one of the strongest team members and has been recognised as Mr. KVN five times.

In 2014 Ptashenchuk joined up with Simon Slepakov and Vyacheslav Dusmuhametov for their latest project ‘Only in Russia’ on TNT TV. He also joined up with several KVN cast members and the show ran for 4 seasons, seeing Ptashenchuk take on a variety of roles, many of which brought out emotions within the audience.
