Jonas Blue

British DJ and producer Jonas Blue has recently become one of the hottest acts in dance music through his tracks ‘Fast Car’ and ‘Perfect Strangers’. Aside from having worldwide sensations, Jonas Blue has been producing for a number of years but it is his more recent hits that have seen him become an international superstar receiving bookings across the world.

Jonas Blue, real name Guy Robin, first became a concept when he released a cover of Tracy Chapman’s single Fast Car, which first debuted in 1988. The cover was a tropical house edit and became an instant hit across the globe reaching Number 2 in the UK, Germany, New Zealand and Sweden and topping the charts in Australia. The record became certified Platinum multiple times and has been streamed on YouTube and Spotify over 500 million times collectively.

Blue then repeated the success of his first track with the single Perfect Strangers featuring JP Cooper, which was released on Virgin EMI Records in 2016. The single again hit Number 2 in the UK and was certified Platinum by the BPI as well as receiving other sales certifications in other countries including the Netherlands and Sweden.

Jonas Blue’s second single of 2016 ‘By Your Side’ featuring Raye also did well, hitting Number 15 in the UK and reaching a Gold certification. ‘Fast Car’ also received a Brit Award nomination in 2017 for British Single of the Year.
