Biography & Career:
Lucas & Steve are a Dutch DJ duo and production team made up of Lucas de Wert and Steven Jansen, both originally from Maastricht, Netherlands. The two met as teenagers through a shared love of music and began collaborating while still in secondary school. The Lucas & Steve project was officially formed in 2010, after both had already built up solo experience playing clubs across the Netherlands and Belgium. The genre sits firmly in house music, with a sound that blends future house, progressive house, and melodic pop sensibilities — uplifting, festival-ready, and built for dancefloors of any size.
The discography took a major step forward in 2014 when the duo signed with Spinnin Records, one of the most prominent electronic labels in the world. A string of songs followed that quickly grew their international fanbase, and the 2016 collaboration Summer On You with Sam Feldt became their first true breakout hit. Over the years, Lucas & Steve have racked up over a billion streams globally and earned a reputation as one of the hardest-working acts in the DJ circuit, headlining Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Creamfields, Parookaville, and Sziget among many others. The age of the two members — Lucas born in 1990 and Steven in 1993 — places them among the younger generation of artists who have risen to the very top of the European festival circuit.
Beyond their own releases, the duo have collaborated with Tiesto, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Galantis, and Blackstreet, while also delivering official remixes for David Guetta, Kygo, and Robin Schulz. Their debut album Letters to Remember arrived in 2020 and won the prestigious Edison Pop Award. In 2025, Lucas & Steve continued to tour relentlessly, travelling from Belgium and the Netherlands to the USA and Brazil, showing no signs of slowing down. With a packed schedule of upcoming events across multiple continents, tickets to their shows tend to sell out fast — a testament to how much the fanbase has grown since those early club nights in Maastricht.
