Indian comedian and actor Sunil Grover is a name to be feared on stage. With quick wit and hilarious characters Grover’s rise to fame began in 1999 and has taken him all over the world and on millions of screens throughout India.
Discovered by Jaspal Bhatti, one of India’s great satirists, he acted in India’s first silent comedy show Gutur Gu before joining comedy legend Kapil Sharma in Comedy Nights with Kapil where he gained massive popularity with his character Gutthi, a character based upon his experiences in college.
Renowned for his strong acting abilities that lend themselves to his characters he has impersonated many Bollywood stars, most notably Shahrukh Khan. He is currently a star on The Kapil Sharma Show as a sketch comedian and he has made headlines with his characters Rinku Bhabhi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati, a character that runs a tyre shop and hospital.
On the big screen he has also featured alongside many great actors and made his debut in the Punjab film ‘Vaisakhi List’ with Jimmy Shergill in 2016
Grover also won the Star Parivaar Award in 2014 for Favourite Mazebaan. Alongside Kapil Sharma he has built an extremely successful career with personalities and characters that have gone viral several times over throughout the nation.
