Olga Kartunkova

Comedian and actress Olga Kartunkova is one of the most experienced and respected sketch actors in Russia. Kartunkova was interested in acting and making people laugh from a very young age and following her schooling she quickly moved over to a career in television.

Her career started to take shape shortly before 2006 when Kartunkova stepped in as a replacement for a sick team member in one of the teams in popular Russian game show KVN. Kartunkova went on to join the team as a permanent cast member and took the team to victory in 2010. Kartunkova went on to enjoy further success in the show, winning numerous individual awards and performing at some of the largest festivals across the country.

Kartunkova’s biggest success came in 2013 when her team became the champions of the KVN’s top league, earning her tremendous amounts of respect from her peers considering that she played the semi-final and final with a broken leg.

Her tenacity and drive to perform at the highest level led her to appearing in the sitcom and sketch show ‘Only in Russia’ in 2014 in TNT TV. The show has taken Kartunkova around the world, performing for thousands of fans.
