Kuwait has announced a five-day public holiday to celebrate its National and Liberation Days at the end of this month. The decision came during the Cabinet’s weekly meeting.
According to the announcement, Tuesday, February 25, and Wednesday, February 26, will be official holidays for the national celebrations. Thursday, February 27, has also been declared a holiday, effectively creating an extended break when combined with the regular weekend on Friday and Saturday.
Work will resume as usual on Sunday, March 2.

A statement from the state-run KUNA news agency clarified that the holiday applies to government offices, authorities, and public institutions. However, businesses and organizations with unique working hours can decide their own schedules.
This extended break gives residents an opportunity to relax, spend time with family, and take part in the national festivities.
