Bahrain is set to adjust petrol prices in 2025, linking them to global market trends. This means the cost of fuel could rise or drop depending on international oil prices. The decision was part of the government’s budget discussions for 2025–2026, held on March 9, 2025.

To help citizens manage any price increases, financial aid will be available for Bahraini nationals. This direct support aims to ease the impact on household expenses.

Some fuel prices, however, will remain unchanged to avoid disruptions in key services:

  • LPG (liquefied petroleum gas)
  • Kerosene used in bakeries
  • Diesel for fishermen

Meanwhile, the government is investing BD 400 million into power and water infrastructure, and a new Citizen Account initiative will assist with electricity and water bills.

These changes are designed to keep the economy stable while providing support where it’s needed most. If you drive regularly or rely on fuel for work, it’s worth staying updated on upcoming price adjustments.
