Abu Dhabi’s culinary scene has once again taken the spotlight as the second edition of the Michelin Guide rolled into town.

The Michelin inspectors, armed with discerning taste buds and a passion for exceptional dining experiences, have cast their judgment, showering accolades on the crème de la crème of the capital’s gastronomic landscape.

New Michelin Star Restaurant

Erth, located in Abu Dhabi Cultural District, makes a grand entrance into the exclusive club with One Michelin Star, joining the ranks of the restaurants that have retained their stars from the previous year – 99 Sushi Bar, Hakkasan, and Talea by Antonio Guida. =

BIB Gourmand Restaurants

The Bib Gourmand category highlighting restaurants with great cooking at reasonable prices also welcomed two new additions: Al Mrzab and Oii.

These stellar newcomers join the esteemed ranks of Otoro, Almayass, Beirut Sur Mer, and T’azal.

 

Michelin Special Awards

This year’s guide spotlights three exceptional individuals with Michelin Special Awards. Chandran Thanggaraja of Kopitiam by Chandy’s takes home the Service Award, proving that exceptional service is an art form.

Rigers Cuka from Oii is crowned with the Young Chef Award, a testament to the emerging talent shaping the city’s gastronomic future.

The Opening of the Year Award goes to James Soo Yong Kim of Les Dangereux, celebrating innovation and bold culinary ventures.

Michelin-Select Restaurants In Abu Dhabi

The Michelin-selected list is a treasure trove of culinary gems, and this year welcomes nine new additions: Al Farah, José by Pizarro, Kopitiam by Chandy’s, Les Dangereux, Maté, Ray’s Grill, Terra, and Yadoo’s House. These establishments are now proudly part of the prestigious guide, adding to the already star-studded list featuring restaurants like Dai Pai Pong, Grand Beirut, Cipriani, and Catch by St Regis.

Five restaurants did not make the cut for the guide in the second year: Cafe James, Fishmarket, Hoi An, Market Kitchen, and Shang Palace.
