Planning a trip to South America? You’ll have two new options from Doha starting this summer. Qatar Airways confirmed new flights to Bogotá and Caracas starting July 22. These routes add direct connections from the Middle East to Colombia and Venezuela.

Qatar Airways first entered South America in 2010 with São Paulo (Brazil) and has steadily grown its presence in the region since then. Adding Bogotá and Caracas to the network brings the airline’s total number of destinations in the Americas to 16.

The airline becomes the first Gulf carrier flying to Venezuela.

Qatar also has plenty of hidden gems worth checking out. If you’re in the mood for a relaxing escape, Umm Bab Beach and Al Thakira Mangroves are perfect for slowing down, enjoying the views, and spending time by the water.
