If you’re constantly saving restaurant spots and food recommendations from bloggers, Riyadh has something coming up that might fill your must-try list for the rest of 2026.
On June 2, the city will host the official Gault&Millau Saudi Arabia Gala.
Pretty much everyone big in Saudi Arabia’s restaurant world will be there, from chefs and restaurant owners to food writers and influencers.

One of the biggest moments of the night will be the unveiling of the first official Gault&Millau Saudi Arabia Guide with a curated selection of restaurants.
Several awards will also be announced during the gala, including:
- Chef of the Year
- Pastry Chef of the Year
- General Manager of the Year
- Emerging Chef of the Year
- Young Talent of the Year

Gault&Millau is already known in the GCC, especially in the UAE, where it launched back in 2022 with restaurant guides, daily food content, and regular culinary events. Now, we’re getting a Riyadh edition with top spots for 2026.
Riyadh already has plenty of restaurants worth booking, from Julien inside Cafe Boulud with its 10-seat chef’s table experience to NOMAS and its authentic Saudi fine dining experience. Maybe some of them will even land a spot in the new Gault&Millau Saudi Arabia guide. Let’s wait for June 2 to find out.
