Abu Dhabi is embarking on a groundbreaking mission to become the world’s first fully AI-native government by 2027. This ambitious strategy is backed by a substantial AED 13 billion investment and promises to reshape public services and government operations with artificial intelligence at the core.
The initiative aims to integrate AI into every aspect of government, transforming 100% of its services and operations. From public service delivery to internal processes, AI will enhance efficiency, automate systems, and make interactions smarter.
The strategy is expected to contribute over AED 24 billion to Abu Dhabi’s GDP and create more than 5,000 jobs. A significant focus will be placed on Emiratisation, ensuring local talent is at the forefront of this digital revolution.
Central to this vision is the “AI for All” program, designed to equip residents with the skills needed to thrive in a tech-driven world. Through workshops, training sessions, and cutting-edge tools, the initiative aims to demystify AI and make it accessible to everyone.
More than 200 AI solutions are set to roll out across government services, enhancing the speed, intelligence, and efficiency of public services. This strategy positions Abu Dhabi as a global leader in AI innovation, creating a blueprint for how governments can embrace emerging technologies.
Ahmed Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Department of Government Enablement, emphasized the transformative potential of this initiative, stating, “By incorporating AI, cloud technologies, and data-driven insights into our government’s DNA, we will transform public service delivery, optimize government operations, and drive sustainable economic growth.”
