You’ve got three days, a packed film lineup, and a front-row seat to Emirati cinema. Sounds like a plan? The third edition of the I-Film Festival opens on April 10 in Abu Dhabi, taking over Yas Creative Hub at twofour54 on Yas Island.

The programme features Emirati, Arab and Indian films, with screenings and premieres.

Part of the lineup for this weekend (April 10-12) includes:

  • Bab, directed by Nayla Al Khaja (opening film)
  • Samson of the Arabs, directed by Nasser Al Dhaheri (closing film)
  • The Place You Call Home (short film premiere)
  • Light Safest (musical by IFA Academy students in collaboration with Media Mania)

Expect a crowd for the launch. Film figures from across the Gulf, the Arab world, and international circles will be there, along with a delegation from the Indian Film Federation and filmmakers from India.

Beyond the films, the schedule includes a dialogue forum with investors, producers, and artistic organisations from the UAE and India. If you’re into film, curious about regional cinema, or just want to catch something different on screen, Yas Island has a solid reason to pull you in this weekend (April 10-12).

If you’re a fan of good films, check out new cinema experience at Cinemacity Starlight in Abu Dhabi, where you can arrive early and settle into lounge-style spaces before your screening.
