Ramadan always brings important changes to our daily lives. And if you’re living in Kuwait, pay attention to public sector working hours during the Holy Month in 2026. The Civil Service Commission has announced new schedules for government employees, and these adjustments will affect both workers and those who rely on public services.

  • The official workday will last 4.5 hours.
  • Government employees can start their workday between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM.
  • Evening shifts will start no earlier than 6:45 PM.
  • Female employees will receive a 15-minute grace period at both the beginning and end of their shifts.

These changes mean that public services may have shorter hours during Ramadan, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead if you need to access government services during this time.

If you live in Kuwait, there are other changes coming to the country soon. Uber is getting ready to launch in the country in the first half of 2026, so keep an eye out for that!
