If you’ve ever been curious about what everyday life in Abu Dhabi really feels like, the latest community survey gives a pretty clear picture, and it’s a good one. Alongside being named the safest city in the world in 2026, the UAE capital is also seeing strong happiness and satisfaction scores among residents.

The 2025 quality of life community survey shows that people in Abu Dhabi are feeling more comfortable, more secure, and generally more positive about where they live. The overall happiness score reached 7.88 out of 10.

These results make sense when you look at the bigger picture. In 2026, the UAE ranked No.1 in public satisfaction worldwide.

Here’s a quick look at what residents are saying about their lives in the UAE capital:

  • 78.4% are satisfied with their family life
  • 94.1% feel safe walking outside at night
  • 71.5% are happy with their housing and living conditions
  • 51.1% feel good about their work-life balance

Across the UAE, the numbers tell a similar story. The country was ranked high in World Happiness Ranking 2026 (first in the Arab world and 21st globally).

The 2026 community survey is already underway in Abu Dhabi and will run for three months, giving residents another chance to share feedback and help create meaningful change for their city.
