Saudi Arabia’s ambitious NEOM project is moving forward, and the latest reveal is Hidden Marina — the first section of The Line. This futuristic development will stretch 2.5 kilometers along the country’s western coast and cover an enormous 21 million square meters.

Hidden Marina is designed to be a vertical city, standing 500 meters tall and divided into three connected sections. Once completed, it will offer 9,000 hotel rooms and 80,000 residential units, housing up to 200,000 people.

The area will be more than just a place to live — it will have schools, shops, emergency services, and security, making it a fully functional urban hub.

NEOM’s Chief Development Officer, Denis Hickey, shared details at the PIF Private Sector Forum in Riyadh, highlighting the scale of Hidden Marina. He compared it to global landmarks, noting that its 21 million sqm of space far exceed that of structures like Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.

More than 140,000 workers from over 100 countries are currently building Hidden Marina. The project is backed by the NEOM Investment Fund and the NEOM Investment Office, both focused on real estate partnerships and sectoral investments.

As work continues, Hidden Marina is set to become a key part of NEOM’s vision — a city built for the future, redefining urban living in the heart of Saudi Arabia.
