A new passenger ferry service has launched between Qatar and Bahrain, making travel across the Gulf quicker and easier. The service connects Al-Ruwais Port in Qatar to Sa’ada Marina in Bahrain, covering a distance of about 65 kilometers.

Here are all the details on new passenger ferry between the two countries:

  • Current schedule (until November 12): two round trips per day
  • Schedule from November 13: three round trips per day
  • Time of travel: one crossing takes 70-80 minutes
  • Capacity: each ferry accommodates 28 passengers (20 in standard seating, 8 in VIP seating)

You can book a trip via the MASAR app. Return trips costs 26.5 BHD for a standard seating and 36.5 BHD for VIP.

The ferries offer modern services onboard, and both countries’ customs and security procedures will be followed throughout the journey. Currently, the ferry service is available exclusively for GCC citizens, but it’s a great step toward better regional connections.

If you’re interested in more travel options in the Gulf, there are other projects to look forward to. A new sea route between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia is also in the works.

And for those who are tired of jammed traffic on King Fahd Causeway, here’s also some good mews: King Hamad Bridge is expected to be completed by 2030.

Stay tuned for more updates on new travel options in the region!
