The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a brand-new driver training and licensing facility in Hatta, making it easier than ever for residents to access essential services without leaving their community.

The new centre was developed in collaboration with Emirates Driving Institute and is part of the RTA’s broader goal to expand access to public services through private sector partnerships. Until now, many Hatta residents had to travel into Dubai or nearby emirates for driver licensing procedures — but this new branch changes that.

The Hatta centre offers a complete range of services, including:

  • Driving tests
  • Opening traffic files
  • Practical driving lessons
  • Theoretical training sessions
  • Licence issuance for light vehicles and motorcycles (manual and automatic)

This facility is now the 27th RTA-approved driver licensing branch in Dubai, reinforcing the city’s commitment to high-quality and convenient driving education infrastructure. The opening of the centre also aligns with Dubai Government’s vision to develop Hatta as a top tourist and residential destination, while ensuring services meet the community’s needs.

Operating hours of new driving school in Hatta are as follows:

  • Sunday to Friday: 8:15 AM to 11 PM (closed for a service break from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM; Friday prayers from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM)
  • Saturday: 11 AM to 8 PM (registration only)

Whether you’re just starting to learn or looking to upgrade your licence, the new Hatta centre is now fully operational and ready to serve.
