The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has announced the official working hours for private sector employees during Ramadan 2025. As in previous years, workdays will be reduced by two hours throughout the holy month.
Companies can also introduce flexible or remote work arrangements based on their operational needs. This means that depending on the nature of their job, some employees may have the option to adjust their schedules or work from home while staying within the daily working hour limits.

Ramadan is expected to begin on Saturday, March 1, but the exact date will be confirmed based on moon sightings by UAE astronomers. During this month, Muslims observe fasting from dawn to sunset as part of their spiritual and religious practices.
Earlier, the UAE government has announced Ramadan working hours for the public sector.
Employers and employees alike should prepare for these schedule changes and explore available work arrangements to maintain productivity while accommodating Ramadan traditions.
