Ras Al Khaimah’s public transport system just got a new boost. The Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) has launched the Orange Route, a new city bus line that aims to improve connectivity within the emirate as part of the broader Transport Master Plan 2030.
Running a 13-kilometre route from Al Nakheel to the Main Bus Station in South Al Dhait, the Orange Route links up with all four of the city’s main transit lines, helping to create a more integrated and accessible transport network across Ras Al Khaimah.

The new route passes through several key locations, making 8 stops:
- Al Nakheel

A one-way trip on the Orange Route takes around 25 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The service operates 20 trips per day, running from 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM, and the fare is AED 8 per ride.

The launch of the Orange Route brings the total length of Ras Al Khaimah’s internal public transport network to 99 kilometres. According to RAKTA, this addition is part of ongoing efforts to offer more flexible, affordable, and convenient commuting options for both residents and visitors.
