Saudi Arabia will host the first Riyadh Comedy Festival this autumn as part of its growing calendar of entertainment events. Running from September 26 to October 9, 2025, the festival will take place in Boulevard City and is set to feature over 50 comedians from around the world.
The event was officially announced by Turki Al Al Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), through his X (formerly Twitter) account. It will be part of Riyadh Season 2025, the Kingdom’s cultural and entertainment initiative that supports Vision 2030 goals for tourism and economic diversification.

First Headliners of Riyadh Comedy Festival 2025
The festival’s opening lineup already includes well-known international comedians:
- Kevin Hart, one of the most recognised names in global comedy
- Sebastian Maniscalco, known for his energetic stage presence and sharp storytelling
- Russell Peters, a Canadian comedian of Indian descent, popular for his cross-cultural humour
Additional performers will be announced soon, with more than 50 comedians expected to take part across multiple days of programming.
Stand-up fans in the region will also have another opportunity to see American comedian Sebastian Maniscalco in Abu Dhabi this October.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Riyadh Comedy Festival will include:
- Live stand-up performances
- Comedy-focused talk shows
- Interactive sessions
- Comedy workshops
