Big news for Riyadh! The first phase of the Sports Boulevard project is now open, bringing new parks, cycling tracks, and outdoor spaces to the city. Led by the Sports Boulevard Foundation, this project has been in the works since 2019 and aims to make Riyadh a more active and green place to live.

Here are some completed destination that visitors can already discover:

  • Wadi Hanifah: A 13.4-kilometer scenic route with walking and cycling paths, surrounded by greenery. A great spot for a relaxing walk or a bike ride.
  • Cycling Bridge: A unique bridge linking Wadi Hanifah to the Promenade. It includes a one-kilometer pedestrian path and a 771-meter cycling track, making it easy to move between key areas.
  • The Promenade: A four-kilometer stretch inspired by traditional Salmani architecture. It offers cycling lanes, playgrounds, water features, and plenty of places to sit and unwind.

  • Arts Tower: A creative landmark shaped by Riyadh’s history, inspired by old electricity towers.
  • Princess Nourah University Loop: A 20-kilometer path running through the university, perfect for cycling and walking.
  • Sands Sports Park: Located near King Khalid International Airport, this area features mountain bike trails and hiking routes.

So far, 83 kilometers of the planned 135-kilometer boulevard are complete. Once finished, the project will provide even more spaces for sports, relaxation, and social activities, helping turn Riyadh into a city built for an active lifestyle.
