Biography & Career
Recognized as a prominent Syrian artist and singer, Assala Nasri has left an indelible mark on the music industry. Hailing from a middle-class family, she was raised alongside four siblings by her father, a talented composer, and singer, and her mother, a devoted housewife.  
From a young age, Assala harbored a passion for music, delighting in singing children's songs. Her commercial music career took off when she was 22 years old with the resounding success of the Egyptian hit song "Law Ta'rafou." Her debut album followed, showcasing her remarkable talent in the classic Egyptian arab style. Throughout her illustrious journey, Assala has released over 25 albums and numerous hit singles, earning acclaim and a dedicated fan base. Beyond her musical pursuits, she also graces the television screen as the host of the popular program, "Soula."  
Assala has embarked on various chapters in her personal life, having been married multiple times. Her first husband was a businessman named Ayman Al Dahabi, with whom she shared 15 years of marriage. She later married Palestinian-American director Tarek Alarian and subsequently a parliamentarian. Currently, she is happily wedded to the esteemed poet Faik Hassan.
