Another month, another standout line-up from a comedy institution that has helped shape live stand-up in the UAE for more than three decades.
For over 30 years, The Laughter Factory has been more than a place to catch a comedy show. It has become a regular fixture for audiences across the UAE, bringing together friends, couples, newcomers and long-time fans for a night built around shared laughter.
Well before stand-up established itself as a major part of the region's entertainment scene, The Laughter Factory was bringing professional comedians to the UAE from the UK, USA, Ireland, Australia and beyond. That commitment to international comedy talent remains at the heart of the club today, alongside a community that has grown around the shows year after year.
Part of the appeal has always been discovering comedians before they become widely known. Over the years, performers who appeared on Laughter Factory stages have gone on to bigger international audiences and major careers, giving regulars the chance to see rising talent up close.
This September, the line-up brings together four comedians from very different backgrounds, each with a distinctive style.
Leading the bill is Kelsey De Almeida, a rising name on the international comedy circuit. UK reviewer Julia Chamberlain has tipped him for major success, and his growing reputation has made him one of the performers to watch.
Joining him is Aideen McQueen, known across the UK and Ireland for her fearless, high-energy delivery and sharp storytelling. Her performances combine pace, personality and carefully crafted material, earning praise from audiences and critics alike, including the Irish Times.
Next is Luca Cupani, the award-winning Italian comedian whose dry European wit and intelligent observations explore British life, cultural differences and the quirks of everyday experience. His understated delivery and distinctive writing have helped him build a loyal following across the UK and beyond.
Completing the line-up is Dubai-based Tanveer Khan, whose comedy draws on a life lived across India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. His warm observational style turns stories about family, ambition and everyday life into relatable material that has made him a familiar presence on Dubai's comedy circuit.
The experience remains part of what keeps audiences coming back: arrive early, grab a drink, settle in for a night of international stand-up and stay afterwards as the comedians mingle with the crowd.
More than three decades on, The Laughter Factory is still about more than the names on stage. It is about the atmosphere in the room, the people who return month after month and the shared experience of live comedy.
