Another month. Another incredible line-up. The same community that has kept live comedy thriving in the UAE for three decades.

UAE – For more than 30 years, The Laughter Factory has been far more than a comedy night. It's become a monthly tradition for thousands of people across the UAE—a place where friends meet, couples enjoy date night, newcomers make connections and complete strangers leave laughing together.

Long before stand-up comedy became mainstream in the region, The Laughter Factory was flying in the world's best professional comedians from the UK, USA, Ireland, Australia and beyond. Three decades later, that commitment to world-class live comedy remains unchanged, but what has grown around it is something even more special: a loyal community of comedy lovers who know there's nothing quite like sharing a room full of laughter.

Every month, audiences return knowing they'll discover exceptional talent before the rest of the world catches on. Many comedians who first performed on a Laughter Factory stage have gone on to become global household names, but the magic has always been the same—brilliant comics, intimate venues and audiences who come ready to laugh together.

This September tour brings together four exceptional comedians from four very different backgrounds, each with their own unique voice.

Leading the line-up is Kelsey De Almeida, one of the most exciting young comedians on the international circuit. Described by top UK reviewer Julia Chamberlain as 'Destined to be absolutely huge'! Kelsey has been winning audiences wherever he performs and is rapidly becoming a name to watch.

Joining him is Aideen McQueen, whose fearless, high-energy style and brilliantly crafted storytelling have made her a favourite with comedy audiences across the UK and Ireland. Described by the ‘Irish Times’ as “Just so funny”Aidan delivers the kind of performance that keeps audiences talking long after the show ends.

Next we have Luca Cupani, the award-winning Italian comedian. Combining dry European wit with wonderfully intelligent observations on British life and cultural differences, Luca has built a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices on the comedy circuit. His sharp writing and understated delivery have earned him fans across the UK and beyond.

Completing the bill is Dubai-based Tanveer Khan, whose comedy is inspired by a remarkable life journey spanning India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Tanveer brings thoughtful, relatable stories about family, ambition and everyday life to the stage. He has quickly become a familiar face on the city's comedy circuit with his warm, observational style.

Whether you've been coming for years or are thinking about your first show, every Laughter Factory night feels fantastic. Regulars know the routine—arrive early, grab a drink, meet fellow comedy fans, enjoy world-class stand-up, then stick around afterwards as the comics mingle with the audience.

Thirty years on, that's still what makes The Laughter Factory different. It's not just about who's on tage. It's about the people in the room.

  • Aideen McQueen

“Just so funny” Irish Times

“Plays brilliantly with the crowd” Irish Independent

“Best young comic I’ve seen in ages” Arthur Smith

Spontaneous (in the losing her keys rather the kitesurfing way), Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and, most importantly, side-splittingly funny.

Aideen appears regularly on  RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside such acts as Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O’ Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.

She has performed at many festivals including The Vodafone Comedy Festival,The Electric Picnic Festival and Prague Comedy Festival. This year   she had two sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival and was Nominated for Best Performer in the Dublin Fringe  Festival Galway Arts Festival

an hour of beautiful solo writing, brashly, boldly and skilfully delivered, with deeper roots into some important questions about life, love, and meaning in the digital age. The writing doesn’t hold back, the material is in your face and lap, but knows when to tone it down and be tender, more subtle, and never too obvious in its material and message. - ED FRINGE REVIEW

The Fast-paced monologues and punchlines have the audience laughing out loud while still exploring many relevant topics – the struggle to buy a house, the vacuous nature of social media and why, despite having more ways than ever of getting in touch, people still struggle to communicate. - FUNNY WOMEN

This is frequently funny but it really distinguishes itself by its willingness to confront the realities of loneliness and regret that underpin the laughter-  and the drinking. It’s terrifically impressive, warm and funny

  • The Scotsman

Writer and performer Aideen McQueen’s warm welcome to each audience member as they take their seat indicates that they are in safe hands and over the next hour we are charmed and moved in equal measure by her character Lucy. Having connected with Tom on Tinder (definitely a keeper – he has a Tesco Club Card!), Lucy agonises over when he will text her, what should she say in a text to him, and why has he not replied to her text. The stressing over 2 blue ticks struck a chord with much of the audience – we’ve all been there! Her initial façade of a woman who has transformed herself inside and out slowly erodes, revealing her vulnerability. Having bonded with the audience, she constantly asks our advice on what her next move should be with Tom, but texts and calls with friends and family slowly reveal that the bravura face of the good time girl is not all that it seems.

Aideen McQueen gives a stellar performance in this witty and moving play. As a rising star of the comedy scene, her interactions with the audience allow her to expertly adapt the dialogue to raise a laugh, but never making any minor diversions feel forced or unintentional. By the end we are all rooting for Lucy to heal herself and to find some much deserved happiness. I loved this play and can’t wait to see what Aideen writes next. She’s a keeper!

  • Luca Cupani
Luca is an award-winning Italian comedian (naturalized British) based in Dubai, known for his unique blend of British wit and Italian warmth.

Born and raised in Italy, he studied Classics and earned a Master’s in Publishing under the direction of world-famous novelist Umberto Eco. After working in the publishing industry for years, Luca took a leap of faith in his early 30s, quitting his regular job to attend drama school and pursue an acting career.

Luca’s comedy journey began in London in 2014, where his first gig was at the Gong Show at the Comedy Store- famously dubbed "the most brutal open mic in London" - which he won. Just a year later, he also won So You Think You're Funny?, a prestigious competition for new comedians at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

His dual citizenship shapes his distinct comedic style, blending sharp, dry wit with a charming European flair.
Over the years, Luca has performed at major festivals and competitions, including Just For Laughs in Montreal (2016) and the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition (2023), where he placed second. He has taken seven solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, with his latest, Happy Orphan, receiving rave reviews.

Luca has performed across Europe, (including the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and Czech Republic), in California and in Dubai.
