On November 2, 2024, a one-of-a-kind endurance event debuts in the UAE: Last 1 Standing, a 12-hour trail race that promises to push even the fittest participants to their limits. Held in the scenic yet rugged terrain of Hatta, this race challenges runners to complete as many 7.4 km loops as possible within the time frame. Adding to the intensity, each loop comes with an elevation gain and loss of 285 meters, testing not only endurance but also strategy and mental grit.

The first half of the race requires participants to run clockwise, and the second half flips to an anti-clockwise course. For those who may not be ready for the full 12-hour grind, there’s an option to run just one or two loops. A large supply tent will be stationed at the start/finish area, offering hot food and nutrition. Participants can also set up crew tents at designated spots in the race village.
Runners will be joined by Peaks Sports pacers as the race nears its end, providing support and motivation for those still standing. This event, inspired by grueling ultramarathons like the Backyard Ultra, is more than just a race — it’s a battle of willpower, stamina, and determination.
