The UAE Flag Garden is back for 2024, bringing a stunning display of national pride to Umm Suqeim Beach in Dubai, set against the iconic backdrop of the Burj Al Arab. Organized by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Government, the Flag Garden celebrates the UAE’s Flag Day on November 3 and extends through National Day festivities, marking this year’s 11th annual installation.

This year’s UAE Flag Garden will remain open from October 31, 2024, until January 10, 2025. With over 6,000 UAE flags artfully arranged to form inspiring shapes and patterns, the garden serves as a visual tribute to the legacy of the UAE’s founding leaders, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. In celebration of these visionaries, the Flag Garden aims to bring together citizens, residents, and tourists to honor UAE heritage in one of the most picturesque locations in the city.

Brand Dubai encourages visitors to use the hashtags #ZayedAndRashid and #UAEFlagGarden when sharing photos on social media, highlighting the garden’s immersive, patriotic experience across platforms. Last year’s display saw over 6,000 flags, and this year’s edition promises an equally breathtaking setup with innovative formations and designs that reflect unity and progress.

Flag Day itself holds special significance as it marks the anniversary of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession as President of the UAE in 2004. This year, all UAE ministries and institutions will ceremonially raise the flag on Friday, November 1, at 11 AM, honoring the nation’s unity. Although Flag Day isn’t a public holiday, it remains a treasured annual event, with schools and organizations across the UAE joining in.

So, whether you’re a local or a visitor, don’t miss the chance to experience this free, Instagram-worthy spectacle, uniquely located on the scenic shores of Dubai’s Umm Suqeim Beach. Snap some memorable photos with the Burj Al Arab as the backdrop, and take part in this visual celebration of the UAE’s heritage and unity.
