Slated for completion by 2040, this visionary initiative aims to make Dubai a haven for pedestrians and cyclists by creating an extensive network of walkways and cycle paths. At the heart of this plan is The Future Loop, a cutting-edge 2-kilometer elevated walkway that will seamlessly connect some of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks, including the Museum of the Future, Dubai World Trade Centre, Emirates Towers, and the Dubai International Financial Centre.

What Makes the Future Loop Special?

  • Elevated design: The walkway, which rises between six and 15 meters above ground, provides an uninterrupted and climate-controlled experience year-round, perfect for Dubai’s diverse seasons.
  • Green spaces: Incorporating over 30,000 square meters of lush greenery and vibrant commercial hubs, The Future Loop will be more than a transit route — it will be an adventure for the senses.

  • Enhanced urban mobility: With convenient connections to metro stations and improvements to nearby areas such as Al Mustaqbal Street and the Trade Centre Roundabout, the project ensures better traffic flow and accessibility for both residents and visitors.
  • Massive infrastructure upgrades: The surrounding areas will see the construction of 6,200 meters of bridges and tunnels, reducing congestion and benefiting approximately half a million people.

Beyond its immediate impact, The Future Loop represents a bold step toward a sustainable and pedestrian-friendly future. As part of a broader 6,500-meter Dubai Walk Master Plan that spans the city from Al Fahidi to Dubai Marina, it underscores Dubai’s commitment to innovation and connectivity.
