Dubai’s story is made up of countless moments—some well-documented, others fading with time. To preserve these memories, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has launched Erth Dubai, a new initiative that invites residents to help document the city’s rich past.

The name “Erth Dubai”, which translates to “Dubai Legacy”, reflects its purpose: celebrating the people, families, and institutions that have played a role in shaping the emirate. By collecting personal stories, old photographs, and memories, the initiative aims to create a living archive of Dubai’s cultural and historical journey.

In his post, Sheikh Hamdan posed an important question: “Since Dubai began its journey, how many stories and moments have gone untold? Can we bring them back to life?” Through Erth Dubai, residents and visitors are invited to share their own memories, photos, and stories, helping to build a collective record of the city’s heritage.

Through Erth Dubai, residents, longtime citizens, and visitors can contribute their unique perspectives, helping to build a shared history of the city. This initiative is about ensuring that Dubai’s story continues to be told for future generations.
