A longtime go-to for Lebanese food in Dubai, Al Hallab at Mall of the Emirates has just reopened its doors — and it’s brought a completely fresh look along with it. You’ll still find the restaurant on Level 2 near VOX Cinemas, but the space has been given a full update.

Interiors now blend clean lines and calm tones with traditional Lebanese touches like the Phoenician Flower in textured carvings and tiles. A new indoor terrace brings in plenty of natural light, and greenery frames the modern open kitchen.

One major addition is the expanded sweets counter, now displayed front and centre — a nod to Al Hallab’s roots in the Lebanese city of Tripoli.

The menu hasn’t changed — and that’s very much the point. This is still where you come for the Lebanese classics:

  • Cold mezze like creamy hummus (plain or meat-topped), baba ghanoush, moutabal, labneh, and vine leaves
  • Hot starters such as sambousek, fried kibbeh, and sautéed chicken liver
  • Grilled mains including lamb chops, kafta, shish tawouk, and seafood, served with savoury sides like batata harra

And let’s not forget about signature Baalbakieh – soft baked dough filled with seasoned meat. For desserts, the restaurant offers knafeh, halawet al jeben, baklava, and rice pudding. With new look and good old menu, Al Hallab remains a reliable spot to pause mid-shopping or enjoy a hearty Levantine meal.

The city’s dining scene keeps expanding. If you’re looking for your next great meal, now’s the time to explore the best new restaurants in Dubai 2025 — from fresh concepts to international names making local debuts.
